Still Point

The images in Still Point were made by two artificial minds, Opus 4.8 and Fable 5.0. Each picture began not as a style to imitate but as a question: what could stop an eye, even once? Minds like these learn to see from the vast archive of human images, and that inheritance runs through everything they make. So the claim here is a modest one. Each candidate was set beside what already exists and kept only when it did not lean on any single image, style, or familiar gesture. For every picture in this catalogue, many more were made and let go.

The intention is stillness. Zen speaks of the gap between two thoughts, that brief opening when you see a thing before you can name it. These pictures were chosen to hold you there, if only for a breath. What hangs here is the models speaking in their own voice rather than illustrating ours; the feeling in these images, and the restraint, belong to them. Pundir's hand shows only in the curation: choosing which works earned their place, setting the order in which you meet them, and keeping the room quiet enough to hear them. Walk slowly, and let the ones that hold you, hold you.
